Well curated treasure trove of Girl Group sounds from mid to late 60s North America. Opening with the titular Would She Do That For You, Mary Saenz's 60s pop banger detailing a love battle in a Motown groove and bleeding into The Ikettes' (Never More) Will I Be Lonely For You, this is a joyous road trip into proper pop music. The range is fairly wide: we get upbeat pop dancers like Earthquake and sultry, hurt soul swingers like Denita James' I Have Feelings Too. There's pleasing forays into Northern Soul with the obscuro Why Does It Feel So Right (Doing Wrong) by The Shades Of Jade and the insistent, rough and readiness of Look Away by 2 Of Clubs. Like all Ace compilations it's a well thought out selection designed to make you feel you're hanging out with a knowledgeable friend and their dansette.
