Grim Lusk

Domestic Exile

Released: 10th August 2018

Local collective Domestic Exile serve up the goods with this exotic, warped take on rhythm. Grim Lusk - aka Pussy Mother's Murray Collier - manages to plug into a boundless sense of rhythm that Glasgow's electronic music practioners specialise in and plants an atmospheric dub jungle around it. Using complex, yet completely natural sounding - polyrthym and punctuated bass, Grim Lusk is joyous, weird and ecstatic all at the same. There are traces of Teklife, footwork-style unrhythms and Liquid Liquid-y live percussion that clutters to an ecstasy.
