The Pastels

The Last Great Wilderness

Geographic

Released: 2003

CD£8.99Out of Stock

Produced by John McEntire and featuring a collaboration with Jarvis Cocker, The Last Great Wilderness is The Pastels' soundtrack to David MacKenzie's film of the same name. Comprising mostly short pieces of spare, beautiful music and incidental themes, The Pastels here almost completely do away with the band-led music they'd been concocting to date. Using vocal loops and various percussive instruments, the atmosphere is entirely unique. Jarvis Cocker guests on the song "I Picked A Flower."
