A little lo-fi hip hop throwback gem, originally Bandcamp only.

This is the first 45 by Karen Less, a hip hop artist from Oakland, California. It was recorded over the course of many fun days and long nights during September 2018 onto 1/2" tape at Long Road Studio. Karen worked with long term collaborators The Brothers Amor to create a daisy age throwback celebration and tribute to her about to be born child.
Recorded by Abacus, Mastered by JJ Golden. Performed by Karen Less and the Brothers Amor (Abacus and Lord Cromwell).
For this release, Triassic Tusk have collaborated with Long Road Society, who put out a 100 copy cassette only version at the end of last year. Triassic Tusk are big fans of the Long Road Society, whose other output includes the Desiree Cannon LP and a killer 45 by Moses Cadillac.
The label, run by Lucy Hine and Stephen Marshall, takes a break from releasing records in the first half of the year to concentrate on licensing rarities and finding interesting artists and labels to work with. The second half of the year should be quite well organised, but the usual ramshackle mess quickly takes over. This year the label has also opened a small record shop inside the pair’s other endeavour, an organic brewery named Futtle, situated just outside St.Monans in the East Neuk of Fife. A series of gigs and beers is taking shape.

300 copies.
