Originally released in 1982 on Cherry Red, Pigs On Purpose is an important post-punk record that in places bears comparison with The Fall's Slates. Pigs On Purpose follows naturally on from The Prefects and is inventive, quirky and a lot of fun. Remastered by Stuart Moxham and with an added album of demos and singles this edition comes on blue vinyl.

“Robert Lloyd’s deadpan, elegantly hilarious lyrics make Sistine Chapel shapes of mundane provincial minutiae.” The Times

“When it comes to outsider artists, Robert Lloyd is the living embodiment of the term.” Record Collector
